Philippe has been coaching organizations, teams and individuals for over 20 years. The co-development of individuals, organizations and society is a huge source of inspiration for him. It has helped him unravel some recurring patterns about trauma which he absolutely wanted to share. He is utterly convinced that if organizations are willing to work from a systemic perspective and to let go of unhealthy habits, they will become Forces for Good.

For Philippe, working with systems and trauma began when he was an HR-officer at a Royal Air Force Base in Belgium. In 1996, a Belgian aircraft crashed in Eindhoven. None of the crew members and 37 passengers did not survive this crash. This overwhelming event was a true turning point in his career. He wanted to learn more about dealing with these kinds of situations in organizations.

After many hours of research, trainings, conversations, … he started working with organizations that were dealing with unhealed trauma. His experience and research in this upcoming field, made him decide to write about organizational trauma, most of all to open corporate minds for this phenomenon. His book, “Stuck? Dealing with Organizational Trauma” – first published in Dutch – has been awarded as best management book of the year in the Netherlands. His aim is that as many organizations as possible recognize trauma, so they can open up for the right support.

Philippe is trained in several fields related to coaching, facilitation and healing: Systemic & Constellations Work, Ericksonian Hypnosis, NLP, Clean Coaching, Voice Dialogue, Somatic Trauma Therapy, Appreciative Inquiry, Solution Focused Coaching, Sjamanism, … . He is a Master Certified Coach, certified by the International Coaching Federation. Most of his work is with companies, what challenged him to deepen his knowledge in the field of organizational development too. Philippe is trained in HR Management, Crisis- & Rescue Management, Organizational Design, Corporate Transformation Tools, Holacracy and he obtained a LEAN Black Belt. As you can see, connecting organizations with the best of the world of development – so companies can become Forces for Good – is part of his mission.
